Mumbai, May 15, 2023: Karkinos Healthcare, a purpose-driven technology-led oncology platform, focused on delivering quality healthcare, has been officially recognized by the National Health Authority for its significant contributions to the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Through the ABDM initiative, a massive 26 crore health records have so far been linked with the unique Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA), and Karkinos Healthcare has played a significant role in linking 30,094 health records with ABHA addresses as on May 8, 2023. Karkinos Healthcare is notably the second-largest private healthcare service provider to help ABDM in the linking of the health records.

The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is a significant initiative that intends to create an integrated digital health infrastructure for India. It aims to foster interoperability and bring together all stakeholders – public and private – to build a robust digital health ecosystem. The ABHA address, a unique 14-digit identifier, has been pivotal in this mission, establishing a secure, trustable identity for patients, which can be accepted by healthcare providers and payers throughout the country.

By leveraging Karkinos Healthcare’s Distributed Cancer Care Network (DCCN), sustained efforts are being invested to support ABDM in realizing its digital health mission and goals. Dr. Basant Garg, Mission Director of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and Additional Chief Executive Officer, National Health Authority, in an official letter, appreciated the efforts contributed by Team Karkinos in building the nation’s digital health ecosystem.

Acknowledging the letter of appreciation, Dr. R. Venkataramanan, Founder and CEO of Karkinos Healthcare, said, “The intention of Karkinos Healthcare is to deliver healthcare to the last mile ensuring that no person is denied care due to lack of access or affordability. Our mission resonates with the objectives of ABDM and we will channelize our efforts in a sustained manner to continue linking as many health records with ABHA addresses and also make them interoperable. This letter of appreciation from ABDM validates our commitment and motivates us to further our efforts in linking health records and help India build a robust digital health infrastructure.”

Karkinos Healthcare’s end-to-end managed digital oncology platform provides numerous benefits to end users by adopting a 4D model, i.e., Detection, Diagnosis, Delivery, and Discovery. The platform offers cancer care services including cancer screening, early detection and comprehensive, advanced cancer care through a digitally-operated command center. Precision diagnostic facilities, efficient on-ground staff combined with skilled clinical and medical professionals make cancer care delivery seamless by Karkinos Healthcare.

This acknowledgement from NHA also underscores the significant role that private sector players like Karkinos Healthcare contribute in the development of India’s digital health ecosystem. It also highlights the success of the ABDM in fostering collaboration between public and private stakeholders for a unified goal – to ensure better healthcare for every Indian citizen.
