PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy explains how Karkinos Healthcare Private Limited collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Karkinos Health Platform or related cancer screening and treatment services. “Personal Data” refers to information that can identify you, such as name, contact details, health reports, or medication lists.
IS REGISTRATION NECESSARY?
Registration is required to access account information on the Karkinos Health Platform and to recover Personal Data if you change devices. If you use the Platform through a program offered by an employer or healthcare provider, you may need to register with them and share Personal Data, for which Karkinos is not responsible.
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
We collect:
- Personal Data: Name, email, phone number, Aadhaar number, ABHA number, vitals (e.g., weight, blood pressure), medications, and preferences. We may record calls for quality purposes per Indian telemedicine guidelines.
- Content: Uploaded prescriptions, lab reports, or other health-related data.
- Third-Party Data: Personal Data provided by healthcare providers or third parties if you use an activation code.
- Automatically Collected Data: IP address, operating system, browser type, and activity on the Platform. This is not Personal Data unless linked to identifiable information.
- Cookies/Web Beacons: Used to understand user interactions and improve services. You can manage cookie preferences via browser settings.
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, storage, processing, disclosure, and transfer of Personal Data per this Privacy Policy and Indian laws. You provide this data voluntarily, understanding its purpose and use.
HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT?
We use Personal Data to:
- Provide services (e.g., teleconsultation, cancer detection, treatment reminders).
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer service.
- Analyse usage trends and improve functionality.
- Personalise content and features.
- Send transactional updates and, with consent, marketing communications.
- Create ABHA IDs or facilitate user connections.
- Detect and prevent policy violations or illegal activities.
Sharing Personal Data
We share Personal Data only as follows:
- With affiliates or trusted partners (e.g., healthcare providers, labs) under confidentiality agreements.
- With authorities to comply with legal obligations.
- With third-party service providers for operations (e.g., cloud storage, analytics).
- To protect Karkinos’ or users’ rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell or rent Personal Data for marketing purposes.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access or modify your Personal Data.
- Opt out of marketing communications via account settings.
- Withdraw consent by contacting our Grievance Officer at grievances@karkinos.in using the Consent Withdrawal Form. Withdrawal may limit service access.
- Request amendments to inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data.
- Request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements. Deletion occurs within 30 days, though archived copies may remain as required by law.
LINKS TO OTHER SITES OR APPLICATIONS
The Platform may link to third-party sites or applications, which are governed by their own privacy policies. Karkinos is not responsible for their content or practices.
International Users
If you are outside India, your Personal Data may be transferred to and processed in India or other countries where we operate. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer and processing.
Our Policy Towards Children
The Platform is not intended for minors under 18. If we treat minors for cancer-related illnesses, their legal guardians are subject to this Privacy Policy per Indian laws.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy, notifying you via the Platform, email, or push notifications. Continued use after changes indicates your agreement to the revised policy.
OUR POLICY TOWARD CHILDREN
Karkinos Health is not intended for, nor do we knowingly collect information from, minors under the age of 18. In the event, our Company treats children and minors under the age of 18 years for any cancer-related illness, our Privacy Policy will apply to their legal guardians as per applicable Indian laws.
CHANGES
Any information that is collected is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected. We may, however, modify and revise our privacy policy from time-to-time. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you of such changes by posting them on the Karkinos Health Service or by sending you an email or other notification or message (including push notifications and in-app news notices), and we will indicate when such changes become effective. By continuing to access or use the Karkinos Health Service after those changes become effective, you are agreeing to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
